Welcome to Odirais Isle, a werewolf roleplay. This is an advanced roleplay that's PG-13 rated [mostly for chars that curse]. Our site is basically just starting up, though we've been around for a while, and we hope to have some new talented members who are willing to help us build our site up and keep the plots running smoothly!
When you join you should have your bio posted in a week at the most. If we see you have not your account will be deleted to keep the amount of inactive members from spamming up. If you are planning on not being here for a while, post so on the MIA Board so we can be aware of your absence.

10.13.08 ) I am working on writing out a description of our current plot. It will be run by Mink for editing, but due to an unfortunate event she is unable to access the computer, therefore it may be some time before it is put up! However, I will still continue on with rebuilding and remodeling some aspects of the site in order to assure it is run more smoothly, so expect to see some changes! They are not that drastic though, so I will not be putting the board in Maintenance Mode. Also, I will try to add some fun things to the site, so if you have any Ideas and Questions they would be much welcomed!
Remember, guys, it would be much appreciated if you would help with the rebuilding of OI. I thank all of those who contributed to getting it where it is now, and hope to see that it will become an enjoyable roleplaying community in the future! Five years ago, Ismirshalen Linnaeus and Amadeus Constantine declared war. The two sides are very distinct and separate, so the time has come to choose a side for life or for death. Ismir is fighting for his beliefs of being able to live at peace with humans, while Amadeus wishes to rid the world of them and regain the lycan's "rightful place" as the Earth's dominant species. Okay, like wolves, werewolves in Odirais live in packs. Obviously they're human most of the time [or werewolf if they're controlled and change at will and feel like being in were-form a lot], but they still live in packs. So. I'll give you the positions from highest to lowest about how the packs work. [Yes, this might not be how actual wolf packs function, so just remember this very important clue: WEREwolf. It's how the werewolf packs in Odirais work.]
Alpha: There are two alphas to a pack, one male and one female. There doesnt always have to be two, but if there are there must be one of each gender, usually mates. The most dominant alpha [usually the one that was there first] is the leader of the pack. As a leader, they obviously lead the pack. They organize hunting expeditions, manage the "camp" [or wherever they're living], and other such things. The alpha pair is the usually the only pair to have children, for any other member to do so is a one-way ticket to probrably either being severly punished or being chased out of the pack. On some occasions, however, the alpha pair might allow another pair to have children [okay, in most situations werewolves only have children once or twice in their entire lives. They're still part human, y'know]. The alpha is the first to eat from a kill [Mmm, human flesh! Or beaver. Or anything else.] If the dominant alpha dies it results in either having the most dominant heir take over, a challenge from the highest ranking wolves to see who wins [thus becoming alpha. Usually a challenge with werewolves is a fight, either to the death or if said challenger[s] back out, leaving one left]. If the non-dominant alpha dies, the dominant one may either find a new mate or choose not to take one.
Beta: The beta wolf is the highest ranking wolf besides the alpha, and is second-in-command for the pack. The beta may have a mate, but their mate might not nessesarily become another beta. There may be up to two betas, one of each gender. Generally, however, there is usually one.
Heirs: Heirs are children from the alpha pair. The most dominant of the heirs become the new alpha when the dominant one dies.
Members: Just the basic other members of the pack. I'm sure you could go into detail, naming some "High, Medium, or Low" in status, but hey, we need not go into such mind-boggling detail. The members of the pack with no special status are capable of many things for a pack, from hunting to spying [like if packs were at war or something] or just anything in general. When the dominant alpha dies some of the highest ranking 'wolves may wish to challenge for the alpha position [only if there are no rightful and capable heirs].
Omega: The omega wolf is the lowest member in the pack. They usually stay back during whole pack hunting expeditions to watch camp [like, if the whole entire pack is going for a hunt, which rarely happens.] They are also tasked with watching over any children that may be a part of the pack. They eat last, getting the worse share of food, and are often bullied. When the pack gets into arguements, the omega wolf can usually act as a peace-maker, calming the rest of the pack down [if they wish to interfere, anyway]. Typically there is usually only one omega, but in some cases there might be one of each gender.
My fingers hurt. I hope this helps out with pack positions. Some packs may have other positions depending on how they function [an alpha may decide they want to make a special wolf to do spying/hunting/etc. and so have a position specially made for that.] Different packs may also be either more leniant or harsh with pack rules, it really just depends on the alpha.
Here in the wonderful world of OI, we have rules. Rules for everything... even our beloved cbox. So don't give us all those moanz n' groanz, you have to abide by the rules posted below. Everyone, even the guests.

- Try not to curse. No matter what situation you're in, cursing just doesnt make it any better.
