Welcome to Odirais Isle, a werewolf roleplay. This is an advanced roleplay that's PG-13 rated [mostly for chars that curse]. Our site is basically just starting up, though we've been around for a while, and we hope to have some new talented members who are willing to help us build our site up and keep the plots running smoothly!
When you join you should have your bio posted in a week at the most. If we see you have not your account will be deleted to keep the amount of inactive members from spamming up. If you are planning on not being here for a while, post so on the MIA Board so we can be aware of your absence.
If you have any concerns or questions, PM one of the admins [Henry or Mink, also listed in the last box below].
10.13.08 ) I am working on writing out a description of our current plot. It will be run by Mink for editing, but due to an unfortunate event she is unable to access the computer, therefore it may be some time before it is put up! However, I will still continue on with rebuilding and remodeling some aspects of the site in order to assure it is run more smoothly, so expect to see some changes! They are not that drastic though, so I will not be putting the board in Maintenance Mode. Also, I will try to add some fun things to the site, so if you have any Ideas and Questions they would be much welcomed!
Remember, guys, it would be much appreciated if you would help with the rebuilding of OI. I thank all of those who contributed to getting it where it is now, and hope to see that it will become an enjoyable roleplaying community in the future! Know someone who likes to write and would be interested in roleplaying long term on the site? Tell them about it!
Thank you all!!! ~Henry

Five years ago, Ismirshalen Linnaeus and Amadeus Constantine declared war. The two sides are very distinct and separate, so the time has come to choose a side for life or for death. Ismir is fighting for his beliefs of being able to live at peace with humans, while Amadeus wishes to rid the world of them and regain the lycan's "rightful place" as the Earth's dominant species. The packs are growing steadily, and wartime is upon Odirais. Whose side are you on?

Okay. So obviously this site is basically a werewolf rp site. BUT, just because they're werewolves doesnt mean they dont follow any rules. In fact, they follow the same rules as of a wolf pack, except for the fact that they can talk and they turn into humans. Well, they acctually they start out as humans and can shift around but... Whatever.
For those of you that dont know how wolf behaviour is, then please do some research. I'll give you a site that covers most wolf basics:
Just dont pay much attention to the ages and how they raise their young. I'm sure most werewolves would stick to their human side with that. Werewolves live forever, basically. They age until the age of 25 and then they stop. Werewolves become sexually mature around the same time normal humans do.
Just so you know, when it comes to fighting, male wolves can start fights with other male wolves but they usually dont start fights with female wolves and certaintly not pups.
Females can fight with other females and also males, but not pups.
Just remember that being WEREwolves, they're half human too, so sometimes their human side might win over the wolf side. It's a constant struggle. I'm just telling you wolf facts because, well, you already know about humans. Which means in fights maybe a male WOULD start a fight with a female. It depends.
When a werewolf is born a werewolf they have the ability to control themselves in were-form from birth. They age twice as fast as humans, so by the time they are, say, 4 years old, they look like they're 8 years old. They stop aging once they LOOK age 25. They'll really be only about 12 and a half years old. So I guess you can say that werewolf children only grow to age 12. If they are bitten, it usually takes either intense training or just time itself to be able to control their forms. Changing at will is also a time thing, but they teach it in packs.
'Wolves that can control themselves generally stand on two legs in were-form except when running. Their eyes are like a wolf's, and their anatomy is kind of like a human's except they have a wolf-like head and they're covered with fur and have a tail. They have a mane-like.... thing, for lack of better word, on their heads from where their hair grows out from transforming. While every other part of you is growing, it's not like your head hair would shrink. That'd be messed up. You want an example? Goldenwolf from deviantart is an amazing artist. [And I'm too lazy to draw my own diagram. I might sometime. But dont rush me.]
Pretty examples? Yup. Mmmhmm. But they're obviously a bit different. That was just an anatomy example for, like, how their anatomy is. Because everyone imagines werewolves different. I'm just showing you how werewolves in Odirais Isle are.
'Wolves that cannot control themselves always stand on all fours in were-form, except maybe when stopping to get a better veiw. They look basically the same as controlled 'wolves, except that their eyes are completely white like the moon. They also tend to be more susceptible to their urges [you know, the eating of human flesh?] All werewolves have that unstoppable urge. Controlled werewolves can for the most part just repress the urges, as they're obviously in control. But sometimes they slip. We all have our moments.
One thing about all werewolves in Odirais, good or evil, controlled or not, is that around their eyes they have burn markings when they transform. Here, I'll show you a picture [one I drew. It's horrible though.]
See that? Just look at the eyes. The claws are obviously way too long. And the whiteness-- that's an example of the non-controlled eyes. Well, look at the black marking things around them. Those are burn marks. Each werewolf has their own unique marking burned around each of their eyes. Cool, huh?
Werewolf wounds are quick at healing, quicker than a normal human. They also have a hyped up metabolism and high immunity, but they're not invincible, obviously.
Werewolves in Odirais Isle have two main weaknesses. The first is considered an 'allergy', which is some sort of naturally occuring substance like, the most common being silver, though usually the metal is colored like their fur, like brown wolves can be allergic to copper, black to onyx, etc., though that is not always true. It burns their skin, and the wounds from allergies take longer to heal than a human wound. Sometimes they never heal completely if there is still some of the substance in the wound. These wounds are usually only fatal if they hit vital organs, etc. They usually always leave a scar. Some werewolves only have one allergy, while others may have many.
The second is a repellent. Repellents are always some sort of plant, the most common one being wolfsbane. Repellents do basically what their name says: repell. If a werewolf comes within a certain range of a repellent they start to feel effects like paralysis, dizzyness, etc. If a repellent penetrates the skin it can cause severse paralysis until removed.
As far as how tall werewolves are [in were-form.] ... Usually male werewolves can grow up to 10 or so feet tall, while females get up to 8 or so. A way to calculate how tall they are in their werewolf form is to just add a foot to their human height. So if their human height was, say, 5 feet 6 inches, their werewolf form would be 6 feet 6 inches.
Werewolves can speak human words in were-form. Uncontrolled 'wolves cant, though. More important than speaking is body language, however, when they're in were-form. In human form they use both.
WEREWOLVES DO NOT RETAIN ANYTHING WOLFISH IN HUMAN FORM. That's probrably obvious to most of you, but I'm just letting that be known. They look just like any other human in human form, really. Except a lot healthier, and they dont age past 25. Werewolves that can control themselves, however, are capable of transforming any part of themselves [ears, paws, tail, claws, etc.] without going completely 'wolf.
I dont know if I mentioned it some other way in any of the other rules, and I'm too lazy to look, but it has been decided that when transforming, THEIR CLOTHES TRANSFORM WITH THEM. It's just too difficult to do it any other way. So yeah. But there's a thing in the bio form [in the Accessories spot, I believe] that mentions to put anything that they retain when they transform [a necklace, etc.]
I hope this gives you a basic overlook of werewolves in Odirais Isle...
